Folks, with a scoff and a chuckle: “Oh, you’re a Life Coach, I’ve heard of that before. Really, what is it?” Me: “I help people identify and achieve their goals. We converse constantly, we meet weekly, and I provide worksheets, all in an effort to break through and set habits that last. Their conversations are 100% confidential and 100% judgment free, which most people never have in their whole entire life.” Folks: “Oh wow, I never would have thought that.” Me: “Yes, it’s super cool and fulfilling. Also, I am a Transitional Coach, which means I help people through major changes in their life: Divorce, moving to a new location, changing careers, or just wanting a different life altogether.” Folks: “Oh, interesting.” Me: “It is interesting. It makes a difference. I am happy to be of service.”
Transitions can be a powerful time to discover new aspects of yourself and chart a course for a brighter future.
